7 Tips To A Great Costume Party
Tip 1 - Decide who you want to be as well as why? Then choose the right costume. It might seem a great idea to dress entirely for laughs if that's how you want to be remembered. Otherwise think carefully. Remember this is a great chance to live out the character of whoever you are dressed up as. One suggestion. It is the opportunity to treat it as a chance to safely act out the role that you wish you could choose. If you are normally shy, even too shy to talk to the stunningly beautiful person who you fancy. Then why not dress up in a devil costume. As the prince of darkness you are not going to be humming and ha-ing and stand there looking at the floor!
Tip 2 - Make sure the costume that you choose is practical. A Dalek costume might sound cool but restricts the opportunities for example flirtation or hold hands or even enjoying a party drink! Graceful dancing is going to be out of the question.

It is going to be more expensive to specialist dry clean a hired costume than to just buy a good costume. Do you really want to have to go around to the costume hire store, quite possible with a bad hangover as well, before work the next morning?

On the other hand when Kate Beckinsale dress up as a schoolgirl she the got the exact opposite effect. Maybe it is a question of having the right costume for the right event?
